Herman Osteen Bass
Services for Herman O. Bass, 68, of Atlas Street, who died at home Thursday, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Reverends Don Edwards and A. D. Salisbury will officiate.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lillian Newton Bass; a daughter, Mrs. Geraldine Francis of Incline Village, Nev.; two brothers, Eugene of Nashville and Owen Bass of Pulaski; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Lee Phillips and Mrs. Clara Christopher, both of Pulaski; and five grandchildren.
A native of Giles County, he was the son of the late Will and Ellie Beasley Bass. He was a mason and a retired employee of MTSU.
Pallbearers will be members of the Frizzell Sunday school class at Southeast Baptist Church where he was a member.

Mr. Herman Osteen Bass, 68, of Murfreesboro, died Thursday, Oct. 23, 1986, at his residence.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 25, at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Don Edwards and A. D. Salisbury officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
A native of Giles County, Mr. Bass was the son of the late Will and Ellie Beasley Bass. He was a member of South East Baptist Church, retired from Middle Tennessee State University and a. Mason.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lillian Newton Bass of Murfreesboro; one daughter, Mrs. Geraldine Francis of Indian Village, Nev.; two brothers, Eugene Bass of Nashville, Owen Bass of Pulaski; two sisters, Mary Lee Phillips and Clara Christopher, both of Pulaski; five grandchildren.
