Ruth Fambrough
Ruth Fambrough passed away in Wichita Falls, Texas on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the age of 86.
The funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at First Baptist Church in Sweetwater with Reverend Rudy Fambrough officiating. A graveside service will be the same day at 3:00 p.m. at Wayland Cemetery in Stevens County, Texas near Eastland.
Mrs. Fambrough was born in Gainesville, Texas on February 6, 1928. On February 16, 1974, she married Tim Fambrough in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Ruth had lived in Sweetwater since 1974. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church and Harmony Sunday School Class. She was a volunteer worker at the Pioneer Museum and a member of Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital Ladies Auxiliary. She was member of Sweetwater Mustang Booster Club and an avid Mustang Fan. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Survivors include: Husband- Tim Fambrough of Sweetwater; Son- Michael Kevin Peck and his wife, Melanie, of Missoula, MT; 3 daughters- Debbie Lynn Wilde and her husband, Tom, of San Angelo, TX, Lisa Ann Seaton and her husband, Barry, of Wichita Falls, TX, Terri Lynnette Jones and her husband, David, of Waco, TX; Brother- Wayne Bass of Ponca City, Oklahoma; 9 Grandchildren- Aaron Wilde, Bradley Wilde, Cory Wilde, Jordan Peck and his wife, Brittney, Jadie Peck, Megan Walker and her husband, Erik, Amy Hill and her husband, Jeff, Allison Jones, and Sam Jones; and 2 Great Granddaughters- Madelynn and Kesslee Peck
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Kay Ferguson, in December, 2008, a brother, J.T. Bass, and her parents, Volley Cephus and Lovia (Jennings) Bass.
Pallbearers are Cory Wilde, Bradley Wilde, Sam Jones, Erik Walker Jeff Hill and David Jones.
Visitation will be Monday, January 19, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home.
