  Notes	The Franklin Democrat, Friday, November 1, 1889 GREENWOOD ~ The funeral of Grandma Bass took place last Thursday afternoon in the Baptist church and was well attended, Prof. Hall officiating. Another good grandmother gone to eternal happiness, a true type of energy, Christianity and motherhood. The Franklin Republican, Friday, October 25, 1889 Mrs. Elizabeth Bass of Greenwood, died on Tuesday afternoon. She was aged eighty-two years and had resided in and near Greenwood for many years. She was the mother of Mr. Will Bass, ex-trustee and merchant of Greenwood, and was an excellent lady. The funeral occurred yesterday from the Baptist church. The Franklin Republican, Friday, November 1, 1889 Mrs. Elizabeth Bass, whose death occurred on the 22d inst at Greenwood, was born in Garret county Kentucky in 1808. She was married to Josiah Bass, in Boone county, Kentucky and they moved to Greenwood in 1839. Mr. Bass died forty-four years ago. Four children survive the aged mother. Mrs. Bass was a consistent Christian lady.
