Died At Morristown
Mrs. Richard Bass Succumbs After Year?s Illness
Mrs. Verle Bass died last Saturday morning at 3:15 o?clock at he home in Morristown. She was 40 years old and the wife of Richard Bass, Dropsy was the cause of her death.
Deceased was a daughter of William Towns and wife and was born in Marion. Her parents later moved to Morristown. She leaves her husband, a daughter, Lucile, 16 years old; her mother and a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Cotton, all living in Morristown.
Mrs. Bass was a member of the M.E. church at Morristown.
The funeral was held Monday afternoon at 2 o?clock at the home, Rev. M.E. Abel officiating. Interment was at the Asbury cemetery.
Mrs. Bass was a relative of a number of people who reside in Greenfield and had a considerable acquaintance here.

Richard Bass Dead
Richard Bass, age 63, well known resident of Morristown, died at the Shelbyville hospital unexpectedly Monday morning. Heart trouble was the cause of death. he was recovering from an operation when he suffered the fatal heart attack. Mr. Bass had been engaged in business in Morristown for a number of years and was vice president of the Union State Bank there. He was a member of the Masonic lodge. The widow survives.

H.F. Bass, Morristown Bank Executive, Stricken
SHELBYVILLE, Indiana, May 10-Harry F. Bass, president of the Union State Bank of Morristown, died this morning following an operation. Survivors are the widow, one daughter, two sisters and four brothers. He also was president of the Morristown Building and Loan Association, a member of the Masonic lodge and a Spanish-American War veteran.

Morristown Banker Expires On Monday
Shelbyville, Ind., May 11.-Arthur F. Bass, age 60, of Morristown, passed away Monday at 6:30 a.m. at the Major hospital following a heart attack suffered Sunday night.
Mr. Bass was a member of the county board of tax adjustment, having served in that capacity last year. He was recently reappointed as a freeholder member of the board.
Mr. bass was born in Marion township in 1876, the son of the late Hiram and May Bass. He was a member of the Morristown M.E. church, Masonic Lodge No. 193, president of the Union State Bank and the Morristown Building and Loan Association, and was also a member of the United Spanish War Veterans of Shelbyville.
The deceased is survived by the widow, Mrs. Blanche Bass, at home; a daughter, Mrs. Gerald Zike, and a grandson, Joed Zike, of Morristown; two sisters, Anne McLane, of Shelbyville, and Mrs. Mora Nave, of Marion township; and four brothers, Henry, of Marion township; Herschel, of Kansas, and Ary and John, of near Morristown.
Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10:30 at the late home with the Rev. E.A. Gillum, former pastor of the Morristown M.E. church, officiating, assisted by the Rev. B.K. Johnson, present pastor of the church. Burial will be made in Asbury cemetery.
