Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Hanes-Lineberry North Elm Street Funeral Home. A native of Seaboard, Bass was a member of International Claim Association and a former officer. He was retired from Pilot Life as assistant vice-president of the claims department and a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was a member and an elder at First Presbyterian Church. Surviving are wife, Mrs. Virginia Vanstory Bass; daughter, Mrs. J. Alex Galloway of Greensboro; two grandchildren/ The family will be at the home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to his church.
