Pat was born in Lower Lake, CA Sept. 19, 1932 and passed away June 24, 2014. Pat died of natural causes at her home while surrounded by family and friends at her side. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Ingrid Bassett and her only sibling, Betty Costa. She was a medical transcriptionist most of her working years. However, her greatest joy was time spent with her family and her many friends. Her passion was for animals. She was a volunteer for many years with Friends for Life Animal Rescue. She was also active in the Calvary Lutheran Church, RSVP, IVP and Easter Seals. She is survived by her two daughters-Teri McCune-Oostra (Kees) and Beverly Van Dyke (Ed). Her grandchildren - Bernadette Sokoloski, Sarah Towle (Jonathan), and Jeffrey Van Dyke (Sylvia). Her Great grandchildren Courtney Towle, Tucker Towle, Eve Sokoloski, Asher Sokoloski, Grant Van Dyke and Theo Van Dyke. At Pat's request, there will be no services. Instead she asks that you hug your children and be kind to animals. Memorial contributions can be made to Companion Animal Foundation or the charity of your choice.
