Champion Figure Skater
E.W. Bassett Wins Annual A.A.U. Event in New York
New York, March 20 ? Edward W. Bassett, of the Wanderers? Skating Club, of this city, won the annual figure skating championship of the Amateur Athletic Union last night at the St. Nicholas Rink. George Kerser, of Brooklyn, was second, and A.G. Williams, of the Xavier .A., of this city, was third. The contest consisted of 17 figures.
Last year?s champion, Irving Brokaw, of the New York Athletic Club, was one of the judges.

Isabel Butler and Edward Bassett Present Novel Act
One of the most Important offerings in vaudeville will be presented this afternoon at the National theatre when Isabel Butler and Edward Bassett, champion skaters, will appear in fancy skating on ice. Besides being unusual to see a pond of frozen water on the stage, the exhibition will disclose daring and fancy skating.
