Betty M. Days
Betty Margaret (Wright) Days, 86, of Middleboro, died Sunday, August 10, 2014, at the Golden Living Center Oak Hill, Middleboro, after a period of failing health. She was the former wife of the late William F. Bassett, who predeceased her in 1976, and the late Herbert E. Days. Born in New Bedford, she was daughter of the late Clarence Wright and Isabel (Worthington) Wright. Betty was a dress maker and had been a clerk at Bennys, Middleboro, as well as Saflers in Whitman and the Work Basket, Middleboro, for many years. She was an accomplished artist and an avid seamstress. She enjoyed her flowers and her cat. Survivors include a son, Stephen F. Bassett of Wareham; three daughters, Linda DeArruda of Raynham, Julianne Stickle, and Tina J. Bassett, both of Indiana; a sister, Nancy J. Wynot of Virginia; 10 grandchildren and many many great-grandchildren. Family will receive relatives and friends from 10-11 a.m. in the Egger Funeral Home, 61 Pearl St., Middleboro, Saturday, August 23, with a prayer service to be held at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will take place in Central Cemetery, Middleboro.
