Bessie Ray Bassett, 89
Mt Pulaski- Bessie Ray Bassett , 89, passed away at 7:35 A.M. on April 2, 2014 at Vonderlieth Living Center in Mt Pulaski.
Bessie was born on December 7, 1924 in Becket, MT; daughter of Bob and Maude Roane Ray. She married Dale Henry Bassett on March 26, 1944 in Camp Rucker, AL; he preceded her in death on June 21, 2011.
Bessie is survived by her children: David (Cathy) Bassett of Mt Pulaski, IL and Harley J. (Pamela) Bassett of Twin Falls, ID; one daughter-in-law: Patricia Bassett of Cambrian Park, CA; one sister Ruby Sawyer of Edgar, MT; nine grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Robert F Bassett, and two brothers: Fred Ray and Blaine Ray.
She was a member of St. John?s Lutheran Church of Mt Pulaski, Eastern Star, and the Mt Pulaski American Legion Auxiliary.
Services for Bessie will be 11:00 A.M. Monday April 7, 2014 at St. John?s Lutheran Church in Mt Pulaski with Rev. Steve Smith officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
Burial at Steenbergen Cemetery will follow the service.
Memorials may be given to St. John?s Lutheran Church or St. John?s Piece Makers.
