  Notes	The Virginian-Pilot, Norfolk, Virginia, Friday, 7 September 1990 Willie Bass Willie Bass, 71, of Route 1, a retired machine operator, died Sept. 3, 1990, in a hospital. Mr. Bass, a native of Bertie County, was a member of Wynn Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include three sisters, Paula Cale, Esther Holley and Annie Bass, all of Colerain; two stepsisters, Missouri Freeman of Colerain and Bertha Freeman of Philadelphia; two brothers, Herman Bass and Junior Bass, both of Colerain; and two stepbrothers, Lafayette Morris of Windsor and Leroy Freeman of Philadelphia. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Wynn Grove Baptist Church by the Rev. Thomas Lee. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Hunter's Funeral Home, Ahoskie, is handling arrangements.
