A Northampton County native, he was a member of the Seaboard Baptist Church where services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. by the pastor, the Rev. Walter Moose, assisted by the Rev. H.T. Dilday. Burial will be in the Seaboard Cemetery. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Clyde Davis of Seaboard; three sons, Lloyd of Pleasant Hill, John of Norfolk and Howard of Baltimore; two half sisters, Mrs. John Bass of Seaboard and Mrs. Estelle Moss of Emporia, Va.; four half brothers, Charlie of Durham, J.L. of Roanoke Rapids, Willie and Herman of Washington, D.C.
