      Mrs. Abigail Bailey Bass

      Services for Mrs. Abigail Bailey Bass, 80, widow of John Foster Bass, Daily News correspondent during World War I, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, in the chapel at Rosehill cemetery. She died Monday in Englewood, Fla. Bass also served as a correspondent for the Daily News during the Russo-Japanese war. Mrs. Bass contributed articles to the Daily News while in Europe with her husband during World War I. She is survived by a grandson, John F. Bass III, and a brother, Charles Mann Bailey.

      The funeral of Mrs. Abigail Bass, 80, widow of John Foster Bass, one-time foreign correspondent for the Chicago Daily News, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Turesday in Rosehill Cemetery Chapel. Mrs. Bass, a former Chicago resident, died Monday in Englewood, Fla.
