Williams (1920 ? 2014) Richard Burdett "Dick" Williams, 93, of Farina, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Farina Methodist Church. Burial will be in Farina Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Monday and from 10 a.m. until time of services on Tuesday, both at the church. Rankin Funeral Home in Salem was in charge of arrangements. Memorials: Farina United Methodist Church or Farina Ambulance Service. Mr. Williams was born on Aug. 15, 1920, at his family's home just north of Kinmundy in Marion County, the son of James E. and Cora Belle Vallow Williams. He married Ruth Bassett on Aug. 4, 1943, in Chicago; she died on Dec. 29, 2011. He is survived by a son, Mike Williams and his wife Jo of Farina; and daughter, Patricia Williams of Farina.
