Cyrus Floyd Bassette, 47, died Friday (Mar. 25, 1949) in the Hepburn Hospital, Ogdensburg, where he was a patient four days, suffering from a complication of diseases. Funeral services were held at his late home at Madrid Springs Sunday. Rev. Dr. John Atwood, Dean of the Theological School of St. Lawrence University, Canton, officiated. Burial was in the family plot in Madrid Cemetery. Surviving besides his wife are his mother and one brother, Wilfred Bassett of Rochester. He was born in Canton Sept. 23, 1901, son of Mrs. Harriet Bassett Job and the late Arthur Bassette. He married Miss Mildred Crump, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Crump May 21, 1936. The ceremony was performed by the late Rev. Dr. Payson in Canton.
