Having a successful marriage and family life
Tigue and Marion Bass were Family of the Month in the Omaha Star in the Fifties.
Because they were so very young, some said that their marriage would not be lasting very long. However, over a period of 56 years they have proven that marriage can be lasting if both mates love eath other enough and are willing to work at keeping the marriage together and honorable.
They had six children in this marriage, four girls and two boys, fifteen grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren.
They attribute their longevity and happy years together to abiding by the principles found in the Holy Scriptures. Over the years this has had a positive affect on their happiness and success in having a happy family life. They feel it is of great importance to have a complete trust and reliance on their Creator and best friend, and counselor Jehovah God to make a marriage long lasting and successful.
Their heritage is to pass on those principles to all their children and others and to say close to God. In doing so they also can have long years together and a happy successful marriage.
