Bassett The death occurred in the Griffith Hospital on Friday last of Mr. Alexander Henry Bassett, son of Mr. and Mrs. A.H. Bassett, of Gillenbah, Narandera. He was 26 years of age. Mr. Bassett was a native of Narandera, and resided with his parents at Gellenbah until about nine years ago when he obtained employement on Mr. E. Killen’s Warrawidgee property, and resided there until the time of his death. He was a valued employee, and was held in high esteem both by his employer and his friends. Mr. Bassett, who was unmarried, is survived by his parents and nine brothers and three sisters. The brothers are: James (Griffith), William (Tabbita), Thomas (Griffith), Robert (Griffth), John (Griffith), Alfree (Narandera), Donald, Loxlie and Kevan, all of Narandera. The sisters are Ann (Mrs. P. Tobey, Chiltern, Victoria), Hilda (Mrs. A. Campbell, Bundure), and Rose (Narandera. The remains were brought to Narandera for interment, the funeral leaving St. Thomas’ Church on Saturday afternoon for the Church of England portion of the cemetery. The funeeral was laregely attended by friends from all parts of the district. Mrs. F. Lindley had charge of the funeral arrangements.
