Clifton J. Bassett, 89
Clifton J. Bassett, 89, of 12 Meola Ave., died Monday in The Medical Center of
Central Massachusetts - Hahnemann.
He leaves a son, Kenneth C. Bassett of Worcester; a daughter, Jacqueline
Jaggard of Silver Springs, N.Y.; a sister, Dorothy Ringquist of Worcester;
eight grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was born in Worcester and attended
Worcester public schools.
Mr. Bassett had been a dispatcher for Shell Oil Co. for 30 years, retiring in
1962. He was an avid golfer.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow in Caswell-King Funer
Home, 1147 Main St., Holden. The Rev. Danal Curtis will officiate. Burial will
be Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are private. In lieu
of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 7
Oak St., Worcester, 01609.
