Jack T. Bassett
Jack T. Bassett, 53, of Rutland, died Nov. 8, 2008.
He was born in Granville, N.Y., on Dec. 12, 1954, the son of John W. and
Dorothy (Hesse) Bassett Sr.
Mr. Bassett graduated from Fair Haven High School and shortly thereafter went
to work for G.E. in Rutland where he worked in the forge for 10 years before
retiring early due to his health.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing darts and Texas hold ‘em poker. He was a
New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan.
Survivors include a son, Justin Bassett, and a daughter, Nichole Bassett, both
of North Carolina; two brothers, James Bassett of Rutland and John Bassett Jr.
of Shrewsbury; two aunts and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents.
There will be no funeral service.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, at the Aldous
Funeral Home, 44 N. Main St., in Rutland.
