      Fred L. Lilley, 28 Jun 1907

      Fred L. Lilley died at about 12 o'clock noon June 14 at the home of
      his mother, Mrs. Annette Lilley, of Hyde Park, having arrived there last
      Friday from Colorado, where he went a year ago last Wednesday in the hope that
      the climatic change might prove beneficial to his health. Accompanied by his
      sister, Miss Anna Lilley, who had been caring for him of late, he arrived home,
      the evening following the funeral of his father, and has been confined to his
      bed ever since. Death was due to tuberculosis of the throat.
      Fred Luther Lilley was the son of the late H.J. Lilley and Mrs. Annette
      Lilley and was nearly 33 years of age, having been born in Hyde Park, Oct. 14,
      1874. He was educated at Lamoille Central Academy in that village and h
      business career was in connection with his father in the manufacture and sale
      of the well known Lilley wagons. On Dec. 6, 1898, he was married to Miss
      Augusta A. Bassett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.G. Bassett, who with an infant
      son, William Bassett Lilley, survives him. He is also survived by his mother,
      one sister, Miss Anna Lilley, and two brothers, Erwin Lilley of Hyde Park and
      Benjamin Lilley of Bakersfield.
      Mr. Lilley was a member of Mt. Vernon Lodge, F.& A.M. and Tucker
      Chapter, R.A.M. of Morrisville and Sterling lodge, I.O.O.F. of Hyde Par
      Aside from his fraternal and family relations, his circle of friends in this
      vicinity is large and not only these but those outside the immediate circle of
      friendship feel the deepest sympathy for the family thus bereft of two loved
      ones in so brief a time.
      Funeral services were attended at 2 p.m. June 15 at the Lilley
      residence. Rev. R.M. Hamlin officiating and with interment in the family lot -
      Morrisville (Vermont).
