Marion Jones Weds Leon Bassett
The marriage of Miss Marion Emily Jones, daughter of Mrs. Emily Schaeffler of Hawley, Pa., and Leon E. Bassett, was solemnized Nov. 22 in the Central Methodist Church, Union, by the Rev. Adrian B. Foote.
Given in marriage by her uncle, Charles Colvin, the bride wore a white satin princess-style gown with circular train and a fingertip veil of illusion held in a coronet of orange blossoms and cala lilies. She also wore pearls given her by the bridegroom and carried a bouquet of cala lilies.
Her matron of honor was her sister, Mrs. Florence E. Cuddy, who wore blue taffeta and carried a bouquet of pink carnations. Her floral headdress matched her bouquet.
Mrs. Helen E. Nabinger, another sisters, was bridesmaid in a lime taffeta gown with yellow carnations and matching floral headdress. Patricia Anne Cuddy, a niece, wore blue marquisette as flower girl.
Mr. Bassett, who is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Amos Bassett, 209 North Nanticoke Avenue, had his brother, Duane Bassett, as best man. Arthur Allen served as usher.
