Bassett-Harriet Denkenberger
Harriet Denkenberger, 80, of Alba, passed away in the Troy Community
Hospital December 9, 1992. Mrs. Denkenberger was born June 2, 1912 at Grover,
Bradford County, PA, a daughter of Jay and Georgianna Carl Bassett. During the
1950s she was employed as a machine operator at the former Wheldon Shirt
Factory in Canton. She was a member of the Alba First Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Richard Denkenberger; son, Charles
R. Bassett of Raleigh, NC; granddaughter, Mrs. Regina Troublefield of Apex,
NC; sister, Mabel Marbaker of Canton; nieces, nephews and cousins. Private
funeral services were held December 12 at the Morse and Kleese Funeral Home in
Canton with the Rev. Jasper Smith officiating and interment to be in the
Grover Cemetery, Canton Township. Memorial contributions may be directed to
the Canton Ambulance Association, the Canton Ambulance Nursing Service or the
Troy Community Hospital building fund in Mrs. Denkenberger's memory.
