She was born in Meade County, was a retired homemaker and was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husban Henry Bassett; a son, Bennie Eugene Bassett; and a daughter, Martha Sanders Phillips. Survivors include a son, Ray Bassett of Willis Point, Texas; two daughters, Etta J. Raley of Jacksonville, Fla, and Jerri Kullman of Vine Grove; 21 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Elizabeth Reezor of Saint Clair Shores, Mich. Services are at 6 p.m. Monday at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Payneville. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation is after 5 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Monday at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home in Hardinsburg, where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. today.
