Miss Bassett Bride At Church Ceremony
Weds Charles J. Bischoff, Father Adelard Landry Officiating
Miss Dorothy Rhea Bassett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bassett of 19 Gold street, and Charles J. Bischoll, son of Mrs. Nellie Vallincourt of this city, were married in St. Thomas's church yesterday morning at 7.30 by Rev. Adelard Landry, who also officiated at the nuptial mass. The single-ring service was sued. Miss Adelia Labreaque and Edward St. Charles, cousin of the bride, were the attendants.
The bride wore poudre blue georgette draped with tulie and trimmed with inserts of matching lace. Her hat in picture style was of blue and she carried bride roses. Miss Labreaque wore cocoa brown georgette with had in marmony and carried pink roses. Forty guests attended the wedding breakfast in the bride?s home, where Mr. and Mrs. Bischoff were assisted in receiving by the bride?s mother, who wore a gown of blue georgette with figured panels. The home was decorated with cut flowers and ferns.
Mr. and Mrs. Bischoff will spend their honeymoon in New York and Atlantic City, and on their return will live on Gold street. The bride was graduated from the High School of Commerce and Mr. Bischoff was graduated from the Brattleboro (Vt.) high school. The gift to the bridemaid was a jeweled bracelet and the best man received a silver cigaret case.
