Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, at Pinecrest Memory Gardens with Tim Hall officiating. Born April 5, 1923, in Worth County, Mrs. Barnes was the daughter of the late John Everett Bass and Lillie Belle Houston Bass. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, the Rev. Quenton Lawson Barnes, who died April 6, 2011; and her sister, Carolyn Dickens, who died March 21, 2011. Survivors include a son, Brent Barnes and wife Susan of Powder Springs; a daughter, Beth Hortman and husband Richard of Winston; five grandchildren, Holly Camp and husband Michael of Winston, Heidi Aycock and husband Ken of Temple and Sarah, Zach and Drew Barnes; and five great-grandchildren, Chloe, Carleigh and Celia Camp and Riley and Lawson Aycock.
