  Notes	South Bend News-Times, Indiana, Thursday, 10 July 1919 Edward Bassett Edward Bassett, 52 years old, died at 8 o?clock Tuesday evening following an illness of one year at the home of his son, 1606 Prairie av. Mr. Bassett was born in Green township, Jan. 8, 1867, and has been a life long resident of St. Joseph county. By occupation he was a farmer. He was married to Miss Retta Hardy, Feb. 19, 1887, who survives him. He is also survived by two children, Arthur, of South Bend, and Mrs. Charles Oberly of Lakeville, three sisters, Mrs. George Souders, Mrs. Alvin Rea and Mrs. E.M. Palmer, also of South Bend, and three brothers, William, of Green township, and Miles and Willis of South Bend. Funeral services will be held at the home of his son, 1606 Prairie av., at 3 o?clock Thursday afternoon with Rev. D.E. Young of the U.B. Memorial church officiating. Burial will be in the Sumption Prairie cemetery.
