  Notes	Athens Daily Review, Texas, November 4, 2008 Velma Bass Services for Velma Bass, 91, of Athens are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday at Eubank Chapel in Canton with the Rev. Jack Matkin officiating. Burial will be in Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home of Canton. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Bass died Nov. 2, 2008, in Sulphur Springs, Texas. She was born Oct. 15, 1917, in Jacksonville, Texas, to Thomas Loyd and Laura Dora Oliver Durrett. Survivors include her son, Jan and wife Vickie Bass of Yantis, Texas; two granddaughters, Kristin Bass of Louisville, Ken., and Kimberly Bass of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and two great-grandchildren, Conner Bass of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Haley Dunn of Oklahoma City, Okla.
