      Henry Wilber

      Henry Wilber, farmer and stock raiser, Section 16, P.O. Lyons, has 160 acres, 100 of which is cultivated. He located on his farm in 1879. He was born in North New Salem, Mass., March 28, 1835. Lived in his native place until nineteen years old, at which age he went to California and engaged in the lumber and milling business seven years, when he returned to New Hampshire and Massachusetts, and engaged in farming until he came to Kansas. He was married in 1867, to Miss Althea Bassett, of Worcester, Mass. They have one son ? Frederic Augustus. Mr. Wilber and wife are members of the Methodist Episcopal Church. He has a fine farm in the midst of a rich agricultural district.

      Property to Widow for Use During Her Life ? Then Goes to Sons

      The will of Henry Wilber, deceased, of Carthage has been filed for probate.
      He bequeaths $1 each to his two sons, Frederick A. Wilber and Burton H. Wilber. All the rest of his property goes to his widow, Althea R. Wilber, for use during her life-time, and at her death goes in equal parts to the above mentioned two sons.
      The son Frederic A. Wilber of Joplin is named as executor. The will was written January 26, 1910, with L. Liggett, William H. Black and W. Williams as witnesses.

      Henry Wilber Dead At 82
      Retired Farmer Had Made Home Here 13 Years

      Henry Wilber, aged 82 years, died at 12;45 o?clock this afternoon after a few days? illness at the Wilbert home on West Ninth street. Death was due to senility. he had been failing gradually for some time.
      Mr. Wilber was born in Salem, Mass., in 1835. He moved to Lyons, Kans., in 1879. He was married in 1857 in Salem to Miss Althea R. Bassett. Three sons were born to this union, one of whom died in infancy. The survivors are the wife and two sons, B.H. Wilber of Joplin and F.A. Wilber of St. Louis.
      Mr. Wilbert was a retired farmer. He moved to Carthage about 13 years ago and has made many friends since coming here. He was a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist. Funeral arrangements will not be made until F.A. Wilber, who is on his way from Michigan to St. Louis, can be heard from.

      Henry Wilber, Octogenarian, Dies

      Henry Wilber, 82 years old, died at his home, 209 West Ninth street at 1 o?clock yesterday afternoon. Death was due to senility. Mr. Wilber was born in Salem, Mass., in 1835. He moved to Lyons, Kas., in 1879. He married in 1857. He came to Carthage thirteen years ago. He is survived by the wife and two sons, B.H. Wilbert of Joplin and F.A. Wilber of St. Louis. He was a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientists, of this city.
      Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 o?clock tomorrow afternoon at the Ulmer Undertaking Company?s chapel. The readers of the Christian Science church will conduct the services. The Odd Fellows will conduct their services at the grave. Burial will be in Park Cemetery.
