William A. Bassett
The funeral of William A. Bassett of 483 Dickinson street will be held in Roadstrand?s chapel tomorrow afternoon at 2.30 o?clock. Rev. R.A. Colpitts will officiate. The burial will be in Oak Grove cemetery. Mr. Bassett was born in Hardwick, and spent his early life in Ware. He had lived in this city for the past 18 years, and was employed by the Springfield body company. He died in Hampden hospital Sunday evening, at the age of 66 years. He was a member of Bay Path lodge of Odd Fellows, Hampden commandery of the Knights of Malta, and Pynchon council of the Royal Arcanum. Besides his widow, he leaves two daughters, Mrs. Tyler T. Newton and Miss Lera L. Bassett; a son, W.J.A. Bassett; two grandchildren, Richard G. and Louise M. Bassett, and a brother, Austin P. Bassett, all of this city.
