He retired from the U.S. Navy after 30 years of service in the U.S. Navy and Army. He was former manager for Dixie Oil Compann, in Tifton and was a fomer employee of the Fiton Cotton Mill. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lois; daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Jeff; son-in-law, Larry G.; grandchildren, Patrick, Jason and Kellie, Jeffrey and Tina, and De and Kathy; great-grandchildren, Robbie Garrett and Kelsey. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Vera Busbin; and a grandson Todd Busbin.
