- SHREVEPORT, LA- Memorial services celebrating the life of Peggy Greening will be held Thursday, July 10th at 1:00 pm at Forest Park Cemetery Mausoleum, St. Vincent Avenue.
Peggy was born June 10, 1936 to Johnny and Emma Bassett in Columbia, Louisiana and was called home to Jesus on July 6, 2008. She was a long time member of Northwood Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and worked in the nursery. Peggy attended NSU School of Nursing before becoming a mother, homemaker and seamstress. She was also an Avon President's Club award winner for 24 years.
Peggy was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Paul Boutin of Shreveport, son John A. Greening and granddaughter Jennifer Greening of Denver, Colorado, as well as many other family members and friends.
Peggy's greatest joys in life were her children and granddaughter. She also loved literature, gardening, and the outdoors. Peggy was also the mother of many pets. Some of her children's fondest memories include camping, fishing and how she always lovingly supported their interests and activities.
Peggy touched many lives and will be greatly missed.
