In 1949 at the age of 23, my dad thought to fulfill what Thomas Jefferson dreamed of and left his Massachusetts home and came west to Longview, Washington. He married Faye Carolyn Rinell in 1952 and together they had three boys. Suddenly his wife died in 1964 and he raised his three boys alone. Son Russell Junior passed on in 1977, son Randall resides in Phoenix, Arizona and I, his youngest son Kevin, stayed with my dad the rest of his days. Dahl-McVicker Funeral Home is handling the service.
