  Notes	September 27, 1971 The attached is a history of the forge shop and carriage factory at "The Glen" at Unadilla Forks, New York, where the tools were made by hand. Henry Wilcox (and Parley Phillips) built the Unadilla Forks home in 1828. Henry Dwight Bassett (Uncle Doc) married Flora E. Wilcox and went to live in the Unadilla home at the time of the death of Flora's father (Henry Wilcox) in 1874. Henry Wilcox had probably started the carriage factory before this, but Henry Dwight Bassett continued with the help of John Spring, who lived with them as a member of the family.
