      Notice of Dissolution Of Partnership

      Notice is hereby given that the partnership lately existing between E.W. Bassett and J.E. Fairbank, under the firm name of Bassett & Fairbank, was dissolved on the 30th day of September, 1904, by mutual consent, and that the business in the future will be carried on by E. W. Bassett alone.

      Bassett Funeral To Be Held On Sunday

      Funeral services for the late E.W. Bassett will be held Sunday at 3 p.m., at the home of his son, Vorce Bassett, 711 West College avenue. Mrs. L.F. Randall will be the reader.
      Burial will be in the Diamond Grove cemetery.

      Bassett Jewelry Store Ends Long Business Career

      With the close of business Saturday evening, the Bassett jewelry store, 21 South Side Square, retired after many years of service to the buying public. The time-honored firm had been part of the Jacksonville business scene since the nineties.
      The business first operation as Bassett & Fairbank, having been founded by E.W. Bassett and Edward Fairbank, well known among the earlier merchants of the city.
      E. Vorce Bassett joined his father in the business more than 30 years ago, and continued it until Saturday night.,
      Mr. Bassett will retire from active business, having conducted a retirement sale for the last several weeks. He expects to dispose of the building at a later date.

      E.W. Bassett Is Taken By Death At His Home Here
      Well Known Jacksonville Business Man Passes Away Thursday

      Everett W. Bassett, who for fifty years has held a place of esteem in the civic and business life of Jacksonville, passed away last night at 7:30 o?clock at his home, 831 West College avenue. He was eighty years of age, born in 1856 at Polo. Illinois.
      For the past thirty-three years, the firm, E.W. Bassett Jewelers, has occupied the same location on the south side of the square. Associated with him was his son, E. Vorce Bassett, who is carrying on the business. The elder Mr. Bassett is revered for his kindly and tolerant nature. He was actively interested in affairs of the state and nation.
      Mrs. Bassett, who before her marriage, was Mary V. Danielson, passed away in January of this year.
      Survivors, in addition to Vorce Bassett, the only child, include one brother, Frederick Bassett, of Glendale, California, and a sister, Mrs. Jeanette B. Ault, of New Rochelle, New York. Two brothers sand a sister preceded him in death.
      Mr. Bassett was the eldest child of Stephen and Victoria Reed Bassett, descending directly from an old Massachusetts family.
      He was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientists of this city. Services will be held at the home of his son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Vorce Bassett, 711 West College avenue. Other arrangements are incomplete.
      The remains were taken to the Gilliam Funeral Home.
