Mr. Bass worked for Tri-County Business Machines Inc. in Southern Pines. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in House of the Lord Church cemetery by the Revs. Daniel Duncan and Thomas Everette. Mr. Bass is survived by his wife, Carol C. Bass of the home; three sons, Richard Bass of Fairmont and Joshua Bass and Caleb Bass, both of the home; a daughter, Chelsy Bass of the home; his mother and stepfather, Rebecca K. and Sterling Carrington of Southern Pines; a brother, Gary Bass of Southern Pines; a sister, Debra Bass of Southern Pines; and two grandchildren. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home in Sanford.
