Cecil Varner
Cecil Varner, 92, Neosho, Mo., died at 6:27 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 26, 2006, at her home, following a short illness.
Mrs. Varner was born June 16, 1913, in Clemont, Okla., and was a lifelong area resident, moving here as a young child.
She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she had taught Sunday School and was active in the church for many years.
Cecil married Elza Varner on Dec. 14, 1935, in Bisbee, Ariz., and he preceded her in death on March 19, 1999.She is survived by a daughter, Evelyn Dunagan and husband, Tracy, of Neosho, two grandchildren, Marcie Schaeffer, Neosho, and Jeremy Rinehart, Lafayette, Ind., five great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 1, 2006, at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel in Granby. Dr. Rick Hedger and Gene Pettit will officiate. Burial will be in the Granby Memorial Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Tracy Dunagan, Jeremy Rinehart, Michael Schaeffer, Richard Rinehart, Joshua Schaeffer and Zachary Schaeffer.
