William Robert Bass
April 26, 1937 - December 20, 2012
William Robert Bass, age 75, passed away December 20, 2012 at his home in East Carbon. He was born April 26, 1937 in Cortez, Colorado to Henry Jackson and Delta Schrum Bass. Married Virginia Pearl Pierce on August 3, 1964 in New Mexico.
Bob was an active member of the Calvary Faith Pentecostal Church in East Carbon. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army in the Ninth Infantry Division. Bob enjoyed camping, fishing and working on vehicles with his family. He loved watching stock car races, NASCAR, football, wrestling and an occasional game of pool. Bob loved telling jokes and watching western movies.
Survived by his wife, Virginia Bass, East Carbon; daughters, Virginia Bass, Eve (Mike) Whelham, all of Washington, Rosie Bass & Steve Stella, East Carbon; Julie (Jeff) Sauter, Price; Julie (Bradley) Francis, Baton Rouge, Louisiana; grandchildren, Bradley, Dez, Jacob, Robert, Amanda, Hailey, Arianne, Leandra, Kiana, Justin and many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his father, mother, Delta Fennell; daughter, Vivian Bass; son-in-law, Charles Maddera and favorite uncle, Michael Robert Tippit.
Funeral service Monday, December 24, 2012, 10:00 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home, Price. Family will be at Mitchell's Sunday afternoon from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and Monday one hour prior to service. Interment, Cliffiview Cemetery, Price.
