Nellie Louise Bass Bryant
ANDERSON --Nellie Louise Bass Bryant, 83, of 321 G Street, died Jan. 27, 2011, at the AnMed Health Medical Center.
Born in Webster County, Ga. on Sept. 21, 1927, she was a daughter of the late James Carlton Bass and Alice Blankenship Bass.
She worked in textiles for many years at the Toxaway, Appleton and Wamsutta mills. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons, Carlton Bryant of Sandy Springs, Larry Bryant and wife Cindy of the home, Burriss "Pete" Bryant Jr.
and wife, Frances of Elberton, Ga. and Allen Bryant of Anderson; daughters, Sylvia Bowen of Anderson, Joyce Dale of Ware Shoals, Ruby Whitworth and husband Charles Sr., of Anderson and Mary Bowen and husband Michael of Anderson; brother, Raymond Bass of Elberton; sisters, Alice Ruth Conroy of Elberton, Pauline Todd of Honea Path and Margie Bridges of Elberton; 19 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William Burris "Pete" Bryant; brothers, J. C., Albert and Allen Bass; grandsons, William and Paul Salyers; and granddaughter, Alice Marie Bryant.
Services were conducted Jan. 30 at the McDougald Funeral Home the Rev. Ed Sayer. Interment was in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
