Mrs. Susie M. Bass
Mrs. Susie M. Bass, 87, widow of W.T.L. Bass, died at her home at Rockfield at 3 o?clock yesterday afternoon. Mrs. Bass, who sustained a broken hip in a fall last winter, suffered a stroke of paralysis last Saturday. She was born in hart county Sept. 8, 1859, a daughter of the late James L. and Eliza Jane Sweeney Hardy. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. E.L. Burks, Hardyville; Mrs. H.E. Chaney, Rockfield; Mrs. M.C. Culbertson, Collins, Mo.; Mrs. W.A. Weldon, Glasgow, and Mrs. C.W. Toom, San Francisco; a brother, Harry L. Hardy, Collins, and a sister, Mrs. Theo Waggoner, also of Collins; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were scheduled for 2 o?clock this afternoon at the Loneoak Baptist church in Hart county, of which she was a member, with burial following in the Bass family cemetery in the same county. The services were in charge of the Rev. Noble Cottrell.
