She was born August 29, 1942, in Meade County, the daughter of the late William Courtney Riggs and Flora Ellen Robinson Riggs. Mrs. Bass is survived by her husband, Hugh B. Bass of Brandenburg; three children, Virginia Darlene Ray and Angela Callene Monchilovich, both of Brandenburg and Billy Joe Bass of Muldraugh; three sisters, Minnie Briles of Brandenburg, Dorothy Elliott of Louisville and Evelyn Smith of Guston; four brothers, William, Charles Lester and Virgil Riggs all of Brandenburg and James Riggs of Live Oaks, Florida and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held from the Chapel of Jenkins Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Blanc officiating. Interment was in Rock Haven Baptist Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Michael Ray, Kelly Benham, Tom Elliott, Roy Wilkins Jr., Donald Monchilovich and Mark Aleshire.
