John Bass
John Bass John "Billy" Bass, 57, of Albany, GA, died April 10, 2017 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home. Ross Powell will officiate. Interment will follow in Red Oak Cemetery in Worth County, GA. Billy was born on July 27, 1959 in Albany, GA to the late J.W. and Nadine Cox Bass. He lived in Albany all of his life and was employed with Florida Rock for twenty years as the Operations Manager and retired from Thomas Transportation. Billy was a member of the Sportsman Club, the Independent Harley Riders Association and loved to fish and hunt. Survivors include his wife, Jill S. Bass of Albany, GA, two children, Jay Bass of Hayes, VA and John Bass and his wife, Laura of Worth County, GA, two sisters, Faye Stocks and Susan Owens both of Albany, GA and five grandchildren.
