Harry Bass
TOLUCA ? Harry R. Bass, 83, of 109 S. Chestnut died at 1 p.m. yesterday in Hawthorne Lodge Nursing Home, El Paso.
Services will be 2 p.m. tomorrow at Aimone Funeral Home, the Rev. Robert Hannemann officiating. Burial will be in Bell Cemetery, La Rose.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8:30 tonight and from 8 a.m. until time of services tomorrow.
He was born in St. James, Mo., on March 27, 1892, a son of Jerry and Liza Bass. He married Edna Kamp in La Rose on Jan. 1, 1922. She survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Russ, Morton and henry, all of East Peoria, and Duffy of Normal and Rodger of Hillsdale; one daughter, Mrs. Phyllis Prunty, Dunwoody, Ga.; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are five sisters, Mrs. Stella Gilmore and Mrs. Monte Blake, both of St. Louis, MO., Mrs. Orpha Young and Mrs. Blanche Anderson, both of Harlington, Tex., and Mrs. Lucy Shoemate of LaHarpe.
One brother and three sisters preceded him in death.
The World War I veteran was a member of the American Legion Post and Marshall County World War I Barracks.
Mr. Bass was a retired pipeline employe.
Raymond Harold Bass was a private in World War I.
