Caroline Maxson was born in Varysburg, N.Y., Jan 1, 1835. In 1836 her parents moved to Michigan. She united with Baptist church at the age of 19 and was married to Charles Bassett January 1, 1859. She moved to Waterloo the same years and in 1866 united with the Christian church. She was one of the charter members of the church in Waterloo. She died July 20, 1889. She was faithful and true in her relations in life. She leaves a husband, four children and a large family of brothers and sisters.
