      Funeral services for Mrs. Emma L. Bassett, 89, pioneer Washington resident, will be held at 1 o?clock tomorrow in Butterworth?s chapel, with burial in Mount Pleasant.
      Mrs. Bassett, a former resident here, died Monday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Forest C. Dana, in Ames, Iowa. Born in Oronoco, Minn., Mrs. Bassett was married to Henry Walter Bassett and moved to Washington Territory in 1886.
      Mrs. Bassett moved to Seattle after living several years in Spokane and Palouse, Whitman County. Mr. Bassett died in 1921, soon after he had completed construction of the Peace Arch on the Canadian boundary at Blaine.
      Surviving beside the daughter, are a granddaughter, Mrs. Gerald L. Bourne, and two great-grandsons, David and Steven Bourne.
