Helen M. Bassett
On November 7th, at the age of eighty-six, Helen M. Bassett departed this earthly life. She was born near Fulton, New York. Her father Cornelius Bassett was at one time a member of the New York Assembly and fought in the War of 1812.
One brothers, William was a preacher. Another, Reuben C., was a lawyer, county judge and a member of the Kansas Legislature.
She is revived by son Chas. H. Sumner, of Bloomingdale, Michigan, another Fred C. Sumner of Clyde Park, Montana, and a daughter Luelle Hope, of Eaglesville, California.
She was a member of the Baptist denomination, and a patient, self-sacrificing follower of the one Physician, who said: ?I will never leaves those nor forsake them.?
